Things you need to knowrnMembers’ use of the Clubhouse is described in the Club’s Constitution and Rules. The rules apply to use of the Waterpoint, while that is being used as our Clubhouse. The facility is available to Full and Associate Members. Please contact the Hon Secretary as early as possible to discuss your wishes to give plenty of time for decisions and arrangements to be made. Before applying, please consider the following.rnrnWhether to open the BarrnIn general, Members do support the Club by using its bar during their private events or parties. Income from this sale of drinks is expected to cover the Club’s costs for heating, lighting and other facilities, and to make a small contribution to Club funds in recognition of the work put in by one or more Committee Members. If you have the bar open, then use of the Waterpoint is free of charge, but there needs to be at least one Committee Member present throughout to operate the bar. If the bar is not used, then there is a fee, currently £50. The Club will also charge corkage on drinks brought in, whether the bar is open or not. Although it is described as ‘private use’, if the bar is open, Members of the Club are free to come in and buy drinks.rnrnStart and end timesrnThe permitted hours for the sale of alcohol are 11am to 11pm Monday to Saturday, midday to 10:30pm Sunday, with special rules for Christmas Day, Good Friday and New Year’s Eve.
